-5 openal II


Not much to tell but, I finished my cl-openal helpers. And now have been starting to slowly read about EFX though I lack low level bindings atm. So I been looking how to make a synth for openal...and It seems possible either from lisp using static-vectors or binding a small dsp like Soundpipe but...that seems a way too deep rabbit hole (make a nice sounding dsp and making it worth not being just a .wav).


Next things on my list are. Fix voxelization so is no longer on -1,1. And fix text helpers so they look passable and painless to use. Neither really fun...but eh..

Now without efx (I should stop complaining and make the bindings) a room type of game is out (why make the effort of global illumination when you don't have global environmental audio?). The current thing that seems possible to hack is something like:

I am still missing the "game" part of it...
